This point is used in Hand Reflexology for shoulders. Right hand for right shoulder, left hand for left shoulder. Gentle pressing, stroking and / or circling, whatever feels good to you. Along with some steady breathing often works a treat.
Located on the palm of the hand on the pad underneath the little finger. You may feel some tightness and congestion there, which should ease with some gentle work. Compare one hand to the other.
As always, if something is acutely painful then stop or go more gently and always seek medical advice if your symptoms are ongoing.
Obviously, using one point only is a symptomatic way to help just one area of discomfort – a bit like sticking on a plaster. A full reflexology treatment may also help to address the root cause and certainly is a wonderful way to feel totally relaxed in mind and body.
Adding more tools to your toolbox all the time. Most of these techniques and tips are easy to use in daily life. Some of my clients keep a small notebook of these tips as a reminder and to refer to often.
