When we are anxious we get a dry mouth, so creating saliva can help the body feel calmer as having plenty of saliva does not go hand in hand with feeling stressed and anxious.
Create the saliva in the mouth however you can (you may imagine your favourite food, move your tongue around your mouth or choose to suck a sweet – sour ones are particularly effective).

Another way of combatting feelings of anxiety is to move around, either dancing, jumping or shaking out your body is said to work the best.
