MINDFUL meditative quiet time with a relaxing image, be it a photo or an image in your mind . . . . .

Choose a restful image, maybe something in nature if that is what you love. If it’s your own photo there will be an added emotionally positive connection too.

This is a great way of reconnecting with happy memories or feeling like you are somewhere beautiful, just by looking and using your senses to experience an image (or even without a photo, bringing to mind somewhere you’d like to be in that moment and maybe closing your eyes to enjoy the feelings).

Using your wonderful imagination and getting a sense or a feeling that you are where the image is, because you can be anywhere you like in your mind.

Imagining the perfect temperature for you and that you are comfortable either seated or gently walking along perhaps.

Now using that wonderful imagination, I wonder if you had a good look around, what are you are visually noticing? (colours, what is flowering perhaps, can you see any blue sky, what shape are the clouds)

just taking your time to fully absorb your surroundings, using your senses . . .

I wonder what you can hear? (the weather, nature noises, your gentle breath, complete silence perhaps?) tuning into your sense of hearing using your wonderful imagination.
and then perhaps . . .

getting a sense of what you can feel (can you feel your belly mothing as you breathe, the coolness of the in breath and the warmth of the out breath, how is the ground under your feet, how do your clothes feel on your skin, can you sense the breeze on your face or the warmth of sun on your body?)

And also are there any particular aromas or tastes to be experienced too.

Absorbing everything you can using all of your senses for as long as you need to.

Meditation is supposed to be quite effortless 😁
Just a few minutes can work wonders and when you’re ready you come back to the here and now noticing, becoming fully alert and noticing how great you feel. 🥰
