It is good to alternate soothing moves with those which are more intense, slightly sore or stimulating.
Notice how your mental clarity improves whenever you do any work around the neck shoulders or head. Circulation is being improved to your head and brain, and hair follicles and face too.
Using the flat of the hand and gentle pressure to stroke smoothly in wave like rhythm all over the scalp from the top of the head to the neck area, use one hand or one then the other if you wish. See how lovely it feels. It is very nurturing and soothing.
Team this up with the other techniques for around the head to make a short routine for helping tension around the head.
