I’m sure we have all experienced the wonderful effects of water, be that either from a bath or shower, a lovely swim in a pool, or from being near or in the sea. Even washing our hands can have a positive effect.

We all feel the build-up of stress or unwanted feelings, or have been in a situation that felt somehow draining or negative, it’s so useful to be able to quickly visualize all that unwanted ‘stuff’ being washed off and being swept away down a plughole as if you’re bathing or showering, through the filters or the pool if you’re swimming and into the earth to be recycled. Literally washing away any heaviness, feeling lighter in mind and body and yet being aware of your connection with the earth and feeling grounded to the earth and strong within yourself.

You might even sit in a quiet place and enjoy visualizing sitting under a waterfall, enjoying the water cascading over you and allowing it to cleanse your mind and body.

Next time you’re in the bath or shower take some time to really enjoy it. Next time you are walking by water, notice how much better it makes you feel.
Introducing Mindfulness enhances the experience. Using your senses to experience any sensations, anything visual, the sounds and smells. Really tap into those senses to bring yourself into the present moment as you allow this cleansing process to take place and giving your wonderful mind a rest from any concerns of the past or any worries about the future.

Notice how different you feel afterwards. Inner peace and positivity are usually evident after this mindful practice.
